Description
Wallpaper fragment; consisting of an all-over beige leaf pattern, with stylised flowers in red and orange with blue and green leaves and ochre berries, all outlined with black. It was used with a border of beige, with bands at each side in black, brown and red geometric shapes, outlined with black and blue. The border was mitred and used with the wallpaper to simulate panels in the hall and up the staircases and around doors. Made circa 1926, from a house at 9a Arawa Road, Hataitai, Wellington.
