Description
Wallpaper fragment; a plain paper, of which the upper level has several bands. At the very top of the paper is a frieze of cutout sprays of leaves in dull greens, browns, red, mauve, and orange, are outlined in brown on black. Below this is paper GH.627, then a narrow geometric border with black bands, black outlined slanted rectangles in dull yellow, green, red and blue, then a paper with large brown leaves with fruit in dull orange, yellow, and dark red on mottled cream (GH.620). Made in the 1920s, and originating from Alberton, Mount Albert, Auckland, possibly from the hall.
