Description
Wallpaper fragment; a yellow paper with fine stripes of indeterminable colours. Above it is a border of stylized formal leaf and flower motifs in orange, pink, green, blue and black. Below is a fragment of a paper or panel of pink and yellow flowers, green leaves, and grey trunks scattered on black ground, possibly a dado panel or frieze. The fragment dates to circa 1918, with the dating taken from newspapers found on the wall where the paper was hung, at 50 Kensington Avenue, Mount Eden, Auckland.
