Description
Wallpaper sample book, consisting of a range of wallpaper patterns from a variety of manufacturers, many the same as or similar to individual samples in the collection. The book possibly dates to circa World War One, using older papers from 1907-1912. The book has green covers, with the spine bound with brown tape. The samples include: 1) A tan hessian paper, priced at 7/6d 2) A satin floral wreath ceiling paper dated 1907, priced 3/3 3) Patterned ceiling paper with white on white designs, priced 2/6 4) Ribbed textile, priced 2/6 5) Basketwork patterns, priced 2/6 6) Green hessian, priced 2/6 7) Rose trellis paper, priced 3/6 8) Smudged mottled paper, priced 5/6 9) Muted large 'textile' floral design, priced 7/9, with white check superimposed. 10) Embossed glossy Lignomur, priced 6/9 11) Plain sandy textured paper, priced 4/6 12) Red speckle paper priced 6/-, 13) Green speckle paper priced 4/6 and 5/- 14) Blue speckled paper priced 5/- 15) Floral striped paper, priced 2/6, 2/
