Description
A botanical painting by Caroline Lush. This watercolour image depicts three native New Zealand plants including the Hebe stricta (also known as Koromiko). This image is dated March 1885. There are two other flowering plants, the rata vine (Metrosideros perforata) has white flowers with a mass of white stamens (this image is dated Feb 1885), and the other image shows a willow herb (Epilobium sp.) with small white flowers with yellow centres (dated Nov 1886).
