Description

A carte-de-visite type and cabinet size photograph album with a brown leather cover and embossed design. The metal clasp closures have only hinge and lock left, the strap clasp is gone. Gold lines frame the cover and the page edges are gilded. Inside the front cover is the heraldic bookplate of John Martin Hawkins Lush on a white moire silk effect paper. Many pages bear hand painted New Zealand flora by Caroline Lush (nee White). The photograph subjects are of Lush family members, statues and famous/important persons.
